Monica Roberts Place is a transformative housing program dedicated to providing safe, stable, and affirming housing for Black and Brown transgender individuals in need of affordable housing. Named in honor of Monica Roberts, a pioneering Black trans journalist and activist, this initiative was created to combat housing insecurity and systemic barriers that disproportionately impact trans people of color. It offers: a private 1-bedroom apartment; $500/month base rent; electric and gas utilities; income-based eligibility; free behavioral health services; and case management and community referrals.
