Reading Is Fundamental Pittsburgh provides children and families with access to self-selected books, resources, motivation, and opportunities to develop a life-long love of reading. Together, our programs work in tandem within our network of literacy support that is designed to follow children from birth into teens, engaging and building trust with the important adults in their lives every step of the way. Book Babies, our young family engagement program, invites moms and tots, ages 0-3, to watch virtual storytimes on Facebook, live or on-demand, and join us for in-person sessions on our Storymobiles every week. In-person sessions are currently held three days a week in six different locations, and virtual storytimes are held twice a week. Book Babies families also receive monthly resource bags, filled with books, crafts, and activities, delivered directly to their homes!
