Launched in 1968 as South Hills Interfaith Ministries, SHIM has been providing food, clothing, and services to people in need in Pittsburgh’s southern suburban neighborhoods ever since. Our organization provides a variety of services -- from direct basic needs assistance to family support, immigration services, youth programs, and much more. We host food pantries throughout the month and provide free clothing for infants, children, and adults all year round. Our programs will help neighbors meet basic needs and achieve self-sufficiency.
