Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh provides local, limited-income families with the opportunity to own a decent home with an affordable, no-interest mortgage. Families in our program work side by side with volunteers to help build their home, and participate in financial literacy classes to help manage debt and budget for the future. Moreover, Habitat Pittsburgh offers several affordable home repair programs designed to help low-income homeowners. Repairs are completed primarily through the efforts of our volunteers, with green and sustainable building practices used whenever possible. If needed, low or no-interest loans may be available to help finance the cost of the work.
